Best Marksmanship Hunter PvP Races

Alliance

Human

If you plan to choose Alliance as your faction for Marksmanship Hunter in Mists of Pandaria PvP, Human is your best option out of both factions. Will to Survive is undoubtedly considered the best racial for most specs in Mists of Pandaria, which allows you to substitute out your PvP trinket purchased from the current Season 12 PvP vendors.

Substitute Trinket

Will to Survive as a racial ability has identical effects as the current Season 12 PvP trinket, Malevolent Gladiator’s Medallion of Tenacity, which removes your character from any Crowd Control you are in. Having this racial be your substitute PvP trinket offers the opportunity to use multiple PvP damage trinkets, granting you additional throughput during your burst windows to enemy targets.

Horde

Orc

If you plan to choose Horde as your faction for Marksmanship Hunter in Mists of Pandaria PvP, Orc is your best option to choose from. Hardiness, Command, and Blood Fury provide strong survivability and throughput when in PvP combat, and is a strong competitor with the Human racial.

Hardiness Racial

Hardiness‘s ability grants a passive 15% stun reduction, making all stuns now at a reduced duration. From this effect, this allows for players to slip away from danger quicker and have more overall uptime.

Command Racial

Command‘s ability grants the Marksmanship Hunter’s pet a 2% passive damage increase. With this bonus, your hunter pet will have slightly more consistent pressure throughout a game.

Blood Fury Racial

Orc is provided with an On-Use racial, Blood Fury, which grants Attack Power to you for a short amount of time. This can be paired with your burst cooldowns like A Murder of Crows to provide additional damage throughput onto your enemies.

Alternative Marksmanship Hunter PvP Races

Alliance

Night Elf

If you want an alternative race as a Marksmanship Hunter, Night Elf can be promising thanks to Shadowmeld. This ability is very dynamic in PvP combat, but by selecting this race you lose out on double damage trinkets as Human.

Immunity to Projectiles

Shadowmeld as a racial ability can immune any incoming projectiles, which includes abilities that require some travel time like Mortal Coil, and can even immune instant abilities such as Blind.

Dropping Combat

Shadowmeld has the ability to remove combat off of your character, which can allow you to mount up faster. This can be super useful in Battlegrounds.

Target Dropping

When Shadowmeld has been used, it will remove you as the target or focus target to prevent players from either attacking or stopping casts immediately.

Quickness Racial

Night Elf also has the passive racial Quickness, which gives a 2% chance for spells to miss including CC.
