Best Marksmanship Hunter PvP Glyphs
The glyph system has changed quite a bit in Mists of Pandaria as opposed to its Cataclysm counterpart. The most noticeable change being the removal of Prime Glyphs, meaning players will be limited to 3 Major and 3 Minor Glyph slots.
Tome of the Clear Mind will be needed to swap out any glyph from its respective glyph slot. You’ll definitely want to hold on to some of those, since some glyphs may be swapped depending on a certain arena matchup.
Major Glyphs
These three major glyphs provided below are your primary glyphs within your major glyph slots. Some glyphs offer variability depending on the composition you plan to play as.
Glyph of Solace which removes DoTs on targets that you Scatter or Trap: an essential for PvP.
Glyph of Explosive Trap, which gives you a knock effect on targets affected by Explosive Trap. This is quite helpful for guaranteeing your stun from Binding Shot.
Glyph of Animal Bond causes you to take more healing, an essential when playing with a healer.
Additionally we have some situationally niche glyphs you may find useful in certain circumstances. These aren’t typically chosen as opposed to the ones already listed above, but can be super valuable if given the opportunity.
Glyph of Master’s Call is super effective into melee cleaves whenever we don’t need Glyph of Solace.
Glyph of Camoflauge is viable in double DPS 2v2, meaning that you’d want to drop Glyph of Animal Bond in order to obtain this glyph.
Glyph of Black Ice is good whenever you are planning to train the enemy healer, specifically in 2v2.
Minor Glyphs
Unlike most specializations, Marksmanship Hunter has two minor glyphs that actually matter in PvP. These are Aspect of the Cheetah and Revive Pet.
Glyph of Aspect of the Cheetah has a dazed prevention effect, which greatly enhances mobility and allows you to stay on target or kite easier.
Glyph of Revive Pet makes it easier for you to successfully revive your pet while being attacked.
