Best Marksmanship Hunter Pets
Monkey
The Monkey pet will be the pet you will be using in most arena matches. This is due to the ability, Bad Manner, which disorients your target for 4 seconds, and can be paired with Freezing Trap to assist you with landing traps on enemy healers. Using this ability to peel your enemies off of yourself or allies can assist your team in dire situations.
Cat
This pet category will be used in the starting room for a temporary Mastery buff. Make sure to get a Cat pet for the ability, Roar of Courage, increasing your team’s Mastery for 1 minute. This should be utilized if you are playing with classes that heavily rely on Mastery, especially Subtlety Rogues.
Wolf
This pet category will be used in the starting room for a temporary buff. Make sure to get a Wolf pet for the ability, Furious Howl, increasing your team’s Critical Strike for 1 minute. This should be utilized if you are playing with classes that heavily rely on Critical Strike.
Spider
This pet category can be valuable against melee cleave compositions. This allows you to use the ability, Web, to immobilize your enemies for a short duration. You’ll be using this to either peel melee targets off yourself or your teammates, or to keep enemy healers stationary when attempting to land a Freezing Trap.
Bird of Prey
Another type of pet that’s quite strong into melee cleaves are ones featured in the Bird of Prey category. This allows you to use the ability, Snatch, to disarm an enemy target. This will work as long as your pet is in Line of Sight of your target.
Bear
Pets from the Bear category grant you the ability, Demoralizing Roar. Once pressed, your pet will reduce all physical damage dealt from enemies nearby by 10% for 15 seconds.
Sporebat
Sporebats offer the spell, Spore Cloud, which will reduce the cast time of your opponents. Similar to our bear pets, this ability will affect all nearby enemies, and can be promising to use against Affliction Warlocks or Shadow Priests.
