Best Elemental Shaman PvP Talents

This new talent system is dramatically different from our original Cataclysm talents. Now players are given way less options in terms of talent selection, and can even change their talents in the starting gate using Tome of the Clear Mind.
Here we have your default talents for Elemental Shaman. Let’s break down why these talents are so promising in MoP, and any alternatives you can select depending on the composition played or up against.
Hard-Locked Talents:
Nature’s Guardian as its healing effect has a low internal cooldown and can even proc during stuns, passively bolstering your survivability.
Call of the Elements allows us to reset the cooldown of most totems. You’ll typically use this for utility totems such as Tremor, Grounding, and even Windwalk if selected.
Ancestral Swiftness not particularly for an instant heal, but instead an instant Hex which is a very strong tool in arena.
Soft-Locked Talents & Alternatives:
Earthgrab Totem is best into melee, especially melee cleaves. This is also good when playing with a Druid, since it also allows you to root beam healers with Symbiosis.
Alternative: Windwalk will help everyone’s uptime, and is best if you are playing against a Mage with a melee on your team.
Ancestral Guidance for increased survivability during our burst windows.
Alternative: Rushing Streams can be picked against Mages, Destruction Warlocks, Boomkins, Survival Hunters, or into other Elemental Shamans. You’ll want to pair Glyph of Healing Stream Totem with this talent, if picked, for some party wide spell damage reduction.
Unleashed Fury is a crucial part of your damage rotation, giving you an extra modifier for Lava Burst.
Alternative: Elemental Blast is a bit more gimmicky and harder to pull off, but is a potential option when you are playing with another caster like a Frost Mage.
