Best Retribution Paladin PvP Talents
Healing Build
If you plan on providing maximum healing output for your team, this will be your Talent Tree build for Retribution Paladin. As you may be confused by the selection of these talents, let’s look further into why these talents are chosen.
Make sure to use 31 of your points into the retribution tree before you place points in additional specialization trees.
In order for you to learn more about the effectiveness of this build, here are some key talents that require some understanding.
Long Arm of the Law increases your speed when using Judgement on a target. Using on targets far away gives Retribution’s Paladin mobility to have higher uptime on your opponents.
Sacred Shield provides a cheat death mechanic to yourself. Since most of the time Retribution Paladins will be the primary kill target, this is a crucial talent for your survivability in PvP content.
Selfless Healer makes your Word of Glory spell more effective on teammates and grants additional damage dependent on the Holy Power spent.
Last Word increases the Crit Chance of your Word of Glory on targets at low HP, giving you more an incentive to use Word of Glory for your team.
Acts of Sacrifice reduces the cooldown and Mana cost of spells with “Hand” included, and provides a slow removal from Cleanse.
In the Protection tree, we place three talent points in Divinity for increased healing output to increase healing output mainly from Word of Glory.
A new expansion offers new possibilities to learn different information that has been added, changed, or removed in the game. Damage Build
If you want to provide extra damage onto your enemies without worrying too much on survivability, this will be your Talent tree build for Retribution Paladin. As you may be confused by the differentiation of these talents, let’s look further into why these talents are chosen.
Again, make sure to use 31 of your points into the Retribution tree before you place points in additional specialization trees.
A majority of the talents will still be used, but has one slight talent change that is made. This talent tree removes all talent points in Divinity, which results in two talent points being placed in Seals of the Pure for additional Seal damage, and one point in Guardian’s Favor, mainly assisting with uptime when using Hand of Freedom.
There is flexibility in talents that you plan to select based on a particular composition that you anticipate to fight in arena. Here are the talents that can be moved around.
Flexible Retribution Paladin PvP Talents
If you are planning to use either of the two builds given, then there are some talents you should consider swapping depending on the matchup you will be facing. Your flexible talents will be Seals of the Pure, Divinity, and Blazing Light. If you would rather have more burst damage against compositions where your win conditions are only determined on specific kill windows, it would be best to add those talent points from either Seals of the Pure or Divinity, depending on the build used, and place them into Blazing Light. Blazing Light is used in combination with an Art of War proc, making your Exorcism‘s more deadly than before.
