Best PvP Retribution Paladin Glyphs

PvP Glyphs

The glyph system has changed quite a bit in Cataclysm as opposed to Wrath of the Lich King. All glyph scrolls that have been learned are now permanent glyphs that can be placed inside major and minor glyph slots, and there are 3 additional prime glyph slots included with the major and minor glyphs. Vanishing powder will be needed to swap out those glyphs. Those will be handy, since some glyphs may be swapped depending on a certain arena matchup.

Prime Glyphs

These three prime glyphs provided below are your primary glyphs within your prime glyph slots. Flexible Prime Glyphs involve choosing between Glyph of Seal of Truth for additional expertise or Glyph of Judgement for additional damage applied on your Judgment.

Glyph of Templar’s Verdict is one of your most important glyphs, as it provides more burst damage to your Templar’s Verdict. Since Templar’s Verdict is your primary spender, having this glyph allows you higher throughput in burst windows.

Glyph of Word of Glory is another valuable glyph to increase Word of Glory healing. Since Retribution Paladin is primarily a support class, your off-healing spells must be used to the fullest potential regardless of bracket or matchup.

Glyph of Seal of Truth increases Expertise by 10. This is important to use if you haven’t reached Expertise Cap to allow spells to hit without being parried or dodged

Glyph of Judgement provides more damage on Judgement, and should be used only if you have reached 20 Expertise without Glyph of Seal of Truth.

Major Glyphs

These three major glyphs provided below are your primary glyphs within your major glyph slots. There is an alternative glyph called Glyph of Divine Protection, which swaps physical damage reduction with magic damage reduction. Only use of this glyph would be during duels, and should not be used during other forms of PvP content.

Glyph of Hammer of Justice grants additional range when using this ability on a target. This will be effective and help you guarantee Crowd Control, especially on classes that typically have excessive mobility such as Restoration Druids.

Glyph of Cleansing is useful when you face certain classes, such as Rogues and Death Knights, that apply Poison, Disease, or Snare effects on you or your teammates. Having this glyph helps contribute to your survivability toolkit, allowing you to use Cleanse more often.

Glyph of Turn Evil makes your Turn Evil spell instant cast, which has considerable uses in PvP. When a Death Knight uses Lichborne, having this glyph active lets you fear them as long as they have Lichborne active. You can also use this on Warlock and Death Knight pets to help you or your teammates during crucial moments.

A new expansion offers new possibilities to learn different information that has been added, changed, or removed in the game. Our Skill Capped Guide will provide you with that information at ease through our specialized premium courses. Consult with the best PvP players with years of PvP competitive experience. They will teach you how to be ahead of the composition. Sign up today to get a 5% discount and jumpstart your Cataclysm PvP climb with a +400 rating guarantee.

Minor Glyphs

Even though minor glyphs do not greatly enhance the performance for Retribution Paladin, there are 3 minor glyphs provided below that can be used in your minor glyph slots to minmax. These glyphs never change.

Glyph of Blessing of Might reduces mana cost of Blessing of Might, and helps with rebuffing yourself or your teammates during an arena match.

Glyph of Blessing of Kings reduces mana cost of Blessing of Kings helps with rebuffing yourself or your teammates during an arena match.

Glyph of Insight reduces the mana cost of swapping into Seal of Insight for the rare occasion you swap seals in the middle of an arena match.
