Best Feral Druid PvP Races

Alliance

Night Elf

If you plan to choose Alliance as your faction for Feral Druid in Cataclysm PvP, Night Elf is your best option out of both factions. Shadowmeld is very dynamic and provides a lot of uses when in PvP combat.

Immunity to Projectiles

Shadowmeld as a racial ability can immune any incoming projectiles, which includes abilities that require some travel time, Frostbolt & Death Coil, and can immune instant abilities, such as Kidney Shot.

Dropping Combat

Shadowmeld has the ability to remove combat off of your character, which can grant the player an opportunity to restealth. This can be used to avoid combat or to stun your opponents with Pounce.

Target Dropping

When Shadowmeld has been used, it will remove you as the target or focus target to prevent players from either attacking or stopping casts immediately.

Quickness Racial

Night Elf also has the passive racial Quickness, which gives a 2% chance for spells to miss including Crowd Control.

Horde

Tauren

If you plan to choose Horde as your faction for Feral Druid in Cataclysm PvP, Tauren is your best option to choose from. War Stomp provides uses when in PvP combat, but isn’t as strong as Night Elf for Alliance.

Additional CC

War Stomp‘s ability grants an additional stun that can be comboed with Druid Crowd Control, such as Cyclone. This gives players other options besides Bash or Pounce to initiate a CC chain, or to re-stun an enemy to try and land a kill.

HP Increase

Tauren is provided with a passive racial, Endurance, which grants 5% additional Stamina. Having an additional defensive ability can increase your survivability during matches, allowing you to play more offensive against your opponents when necessary.
