Restoration Druid Stat Priority
Mastery > Versatility (25%) > Haste > Critical Strike
Our main focus for stats should be on Mastery, as this increases the amount of healing from our HoT effects. The more HoTs you have on a single target, the more healing they will do.
Next up, we have Versatility as our second most important stat. You want to focus on getting as much of it as you can, up to at least 25%. This will happen automatically through PvP gearing, as most of the items you will end up using will have Versatility on them.
Followed by Versatility, we have Haste. This stat reduces the global cooldown on our spells, reduces the cast time of our spells, and increases the amount of ticks on a HoT effect. Including a decent amount of this stat shouldn’t be looked down upon as it increases our HPS.
Lastly, Critical Strike is our worst stat and should be avoided.

Core Gems: Cognitive Bloodstone + Versatile Onyx
Alternative Gem: Quick Onyx
In The War Within, you will use a Vicious Jeweler’s Setting to add sockets to your Helmet, Neck, Bracers, Belt and Rings. Two sockets can be added to the Neck and Rings.
With Mastery being your best secondary stat, you will want to both gem and enchant it wherever possible. For your new unique PvP-specific gem, we highly recommend the Cognitive Bloodstone, which acts almost identical to the Precognition Embellishment from Dragonflight.
If you want more Versatility, choose Versatile Onyx. Otherwise, choose Quick Onyx for additional Haste. Regardless of what gem you pick, your highest stat gained will be Mastery to increase the overall effectiveness of your healing spells.
