Mistweaver Monk Stat Priority

Versatility > Haste >= Mastery > Critical Strike

Versatility will be our most important stat. You want to focus on getting as much of it as you can, up to at least 25%. This will happen automatically through PvP gearing, as most of the items you will end up using will have Versatility on them.

Beyond this stat, we advise acquiring a balance of both Haste and Mastery, with Haste being the most favorable out of the two options. With buffs to our primary HoTs, prioritizing Haste increases the number of ticks we receive out of them. From these changes, our HoTs now become our most effective heal. Additionally, Haste makes our globals feel fluid as it reduces the global cooldown.

Haste is also best if you prefer a Fistweaver playstyle. This stat reduces our Rising Sun Kick cooldown, which is great when Rushing Wind Kick is selected, and allows us to throw out more physical attacks to make our healing stronger. Not to mention, the more abilities we use, we can reset our Jadefire Stomp more often. This tremendously helps out with our damage and healing output.

Followed by Haste, we have Mastery. Having a decent amount of this increases your healing throughput and is applied immediately after successfully casting a majority of your core healing spells. After recent nerfs to our Mastery effects as well as Resplendent Mist, this stat has become less favorable as it was in previous patches, which has resulted in a dramatic shift to Haste.

Critical Strike provides us with the least amount of benefits to our toolkit, therefore making it avoided at all costs.

When it comes to trinkets, the offensive option is the Prized Gladiator’s Insignia of Alacrity. This provides us with a static boost to our Haste, which helps with our current stat priority, and grants us a considerable boost to our primary stat in order to enhance our sustain healing.

You will then need a Prized Gladiator’s Medallion to break out of CC every 1 minute and 30 seconds.

If you find yourself struggling with survivability and become a potential kill target against certain teams, you can substitute in Prized Gladiator’s Emblem instead of Prized Gladiator’s Insignia of Alacrity. This temporarily increases your health and can be combined with cooldowns that scale based on your current HP to receive higher value out of it, such as Fortifying Brew.

In The War Within, you will use a Vicious Jeweler’s Setting to add sockets to your Helmet, Neck, Bracers, Belt and Rings. Two sockets can be added to the Neck and Rings.

For your new unique PvP-specific gem, we highly recommend the Cognitive Bloodstone, reacting similar to our Precognition embellishment from Dragonflight.

For all gem slots, we will use either Versatile Emerald or Quick Sapphire, depending on your preference. Both will provide us with a static amount of Haste, slightly supporting our healing throughput.
