Table of Contents

Balance Druid Stat Priority

Versatility > Haste > Mastery > Critical Strike

Starting off, we need to incorporate a good amount of Versatility to our character, up to 25%. This stat is pretty much a no-brainer; we get targeted almost every game, and it’s an excellent stat for PvP overall.

After Versatility, you’ll want to focus your attention on Haste. Not only does this stat reduce the global cooldown and make our DoTs tick faster, but we can cast spells quicker, allowing us to land Cyclone casts off some short-lasting stuns without any gaps. Since most of our damage comes from Moonfire and Sunfire, having more of this stat increases our throughput by a solid amount.

Followed by Haste, we have Mastery. This makes our damage more impactful, and becomes even stronger depending on which DoT effect we have active. Having both Moonfire and Sunfire on our preferred target before using any other damaging spell is essential to maximizing your damage, especially for Starsurge since it belongs to the Astral spell school. This is because Astral spells deal both Nature and Arcane damage, causing Mastery’s damage multiplier to stack when both DoTs are active.

Finally, we have Critical Strike. This secondary stat doesn’t synergize fairly well with our toolkit, so it’s generally avoided during our gearing process.

Trinkets

When it comes to trinkets, we will be selecting Forged Gladiator’s Insignia of Alacrity. With it having a relatively high proc chance, and since we receive a static amount of Haste by equipping it, this is our best option.

You will then need a Forged Gladiator’s Medallion to break out of CC every 2 minutes.

An alternative trinket from Forged Gladiator’s Insignia of Alacrity is Forged Gladiator’s Emblem, as this will assist us with surviving massive burst windows, especially when used with Frenzied Regeneration to increase its overall healing.

Best Balance Druid Embellishments

The Elemental Focusing Lens embellishment provides us with the most consistent throughput, and is only effective as long as you have at least 1 gem equipped.

This embellishment occasionally deals damage from a specific school of magic based on the gem you equip. Keep in mind that the damage from this embellishment can’t be buffed by cooldowns, talents, or any damage bonuses from school types.

Best Balance Druid Gems

Core Gems: Cognitive Bloodstone + Versatile Emerald
Alternative Gems: Quick Sapphire

In The War Within, you will use a Vicious Jeweler’s Setting to add sockets to your Helmet, Neck, Bracers, Belt and Rings. Two sockets can be added to the Neck and Rings.

With Haste being your best secondary stat, you will want to both gem and enchant it wherever possible. For your new unique PvP-specific gem, we highly recommend the Cognitive Bloodstone, which acts almost identical to the Precognition Embellishment from Dragonflight.

For the gems we select, we recommend grabbing Versatile Emerald, as it provides us with high Haste and low Versatility, both assisting us with our suggested stat priority. Alternatively, you could use Quick Sapphire if you want to enhance your survivability. Overall, both of these gems are entirely based on what you prefer the most.

Best Balance Druid Enchants

Cloak: Enchant Cloak – Chant of Burrowing Rapidity
Chest: Enchant Chest – Crystalline Radiance
Bracers: Enchant Bracer – Chant of Armored Speed
Legs: Sunset Spellthread
Boots: Enchant Boots – Scout’s March or Plainsrunner’s Breeze
Rings: Enchant Ring – Radiant Haste
Weapon: Enchant Weapon – Authority of Radiant Power
