Augmentation Evoker Stat Priority

Versatility > Haste > Mastery > Critical Strike

Versatility will be our most important stat. You want to focus on getting as much of it as you can, up to at least 25%. This will happen automatically through PvP gearing, as most of the items you will end up using will have Versatility on them.

After Versatility, you’ll be focusing on Haste. This makes our HoT effects tick faster, reduces the global cooldown, increases our Essence regeneration, and helps us cast our empowered spells faster. Not to mention, our cooldown on Verdant Embrace is reduced depending on the amount of Haste we have.

Then, you’ll be looking for some Mastery. This stat applies a Versatility buff, mainly on our DPS teammates, after using an empowered spell. Additionally, this increases the duration of our utility buffs on allies.

Lastly, Critical Strike does not synergize with our toolkit, making it our weakest stat.

There is no concise winner in terms of which weapon is better, and is based on what you prefer the most. When it comes to trinkets, the offensive option is the Prized Gladiator’s Insignia of Alacrity. Using this trinket provides us with a static buff to our Haste, while consistently proccing some primary stat to make our sustain damage more impactful.

You will then need a Prized Gladiator’s Medallion to break out of CC every 2 minutes.

Best Augmentation Evoker Embellishments

Item 1: Darkmoon Sigil: Ascension on any weapon crafted slot.
Item 2: Writhing Armor Banding on any armor crafted slot.

Alternative Item: x2 Elemental Focusing Lens on any crafted piece.

Both embellishments are solid enhancements to our toolkit, however Darkmoon Sigil: Ascension has an upper hand out of the two with its constant flow of secondary stats throughout a game. Even though this embellishment can be RNG dependent at times in terms of proccing the most effective secondary stats, it can contribute a ton to our burst windows if we are lucky enough.

Alternatively, if you would rather use our conquest weapon instead of a crafted version, Elemental Focusing Lens embellishment is quite nice to have as it helps us with our consistent throughput. Make sure to have at least 1 gem equipped for this embellishment to work.

This embellishment occasionally deals damage from a specific school of magic based on the gem you equip. Keep in mind that the damage from this embellishment can’t be buffed by cooldowns, talents, or any damage bonuses from school types.

Best Augmentation Evoker Gems

Core Gems: Cognitive Bloodstone + Versatile Emerald
Alternative Gem: Quick Sapphire

In The War Within, you will use a Vicious Jeweler’s Setting to add sockets to your Helmet, Neck, Bracers, Belt and Rings. Two sockets can be added to the Neck and Rings.

For your new unique PvP-specific gem, we highly recommend the Cognitive Bloodstone, which acts almost identical to the Precognition Embellishment from Dragonflight.

For all gem slots, we recommend using Versatile Emerald that best suits our stat priority. Alternatively, you can opt for Quick Sapphire instead if you want to increase your overall throughput.
