Arms Warrior Stat Priority

Versatility > Haste > Critical Strike > Mastery

Versatility will be our most important stat. You want to focus on getting as much of it as you can, up to at least 30%. This will happen automatically through PvP gearing, as most of the items you will end up using will have Versatility on them.

Next up we have Haste, which provides us faster rage regeneration by increasing our auto attacks, reduces the global cooldown and the cooldown of our Mortal Strike for more Mortal Wounds uptime, and faster ticks onto our bleed effects. This adds onto the damage that our Thunderous Roar bleed already provides.

After maximizing these two stats, we can include some Critical Strike into the mix for that added pressure from our primary damaging spells. This mainly focuses on adding even more damage onto our Overpower due to our new talent Opportunist in the Slayer tree.

And lastly, we have Mastery as our weakest stat and should be avoided while gearing.

Main Hand: Algari Competitor’s Greatsword (Versatility / Haste)

Trinket 1: Forged Gladiator’s Insignia of Alacrity
Trinket 2: Forged Gladiator’s Medallion

When it comes to trinkets, we will want to equip Forged Gladiator’s Insignia of Alacrity. Not only does this provide Haste to better support our stat priority, it has an extremely high proc chance, passively supplementing our overall damage.

You will then need a Forged Gladiator’s Medallion to break out of CC every 2 minutes.

An alternative trinket from Forged Gladiator’s Insignia of Alacrity is Forged Gladiator’s Emblem, as this will assist us with surviving massive burst windows.

If you choose to play Human as an Arms Warrior, you have the option to drop the Forged Gladiator’s Medallion for Forged Gladiator’s Badge of Ferocity. This is due to Human having access to Will to Survive for breaking out of crowd control. However, the Medallion remains to be a solid pick for Human into teams where you want more frequent access to a CC removal, as you will be able to rotate through the Forged Gladiator’s Medallion and Will to Survive every 90 seconds.

Enduring Bloodstone + Versatile Emerald

In The War Within, you will use a Vicious Jeweler’s Setting to add sockets to your Helmet, Neck, Bracers, Belt and Rings. Two sockets can be added to the Neck and Rings.

As Versatility and Haste are your best secondary stats, you will want to both gem and enchant it wherever possible. Enduring Bloodstone will be our newly introduced PvP gem that can only be attributed once onto your character’s gem slots. This will give you some additional damage reduction when affected by Crowd Control.

For all gem slots, we will use Versatile Emerald. This will provide us a hefty amount of Haste, while weaving in some Versatility as a minor boost to our stat priority.
