Introduction
This guide was made in collaboration with multiple current Rank 1 Gladiators, but is designed to represent the entire arena ladder.
To help understand how these rankings work, we assume the following:
S tier comps are expected to have the highest winrate against equally skilled opponents.
A tier comps are expected to have slightly higher winrates than A tier comps against equally skilled opponents.
A tier comps are expected to have positive winrates against equally skilled opponents.
B tier comps represent the “average” comp, and have a relatively equal distribution of winning and losing matchups
C tier comps are generally weak into the meta and are expected to lose against most higher tier comps
A visual representation can be found here.
Other important notes:
This list is an ongoing project and will be updated periodically
If you don’t see a comp listed, it MIGHT be weaker than C tier, but could also mean that it is too experimental to properly rank or simply an oversight.
Best 3v3 Comps for Death Knights
A Tier – Unholy Death Knight
“PHDK” Unholy Death Knight / BM Hunter / Discipline Priest, Preservation Evoker, or Holy Paladin
“DK Assa” Unholy Death Knight / Assassination Rogue / Preservation Evoker or Holy Paladin
“Shadowcleave” Unholy Death Knight / Affliction Warlock / Preservation Evoker or Holy Paladin
“DH DK” Unholy Death Knight / Havoc Demon Hunter / Preservation Evoker or Holy Paladin
“TWD” Unholy Death Knight / Windwalker Monk / Preservation Evoker or Holy Paladin
“DK Ele” Unholy Death Knight / Elemental Shaman / Preservation Evoker or Holy Paladin
Although this may come as a surprise, Unholy Death Knight is relatively weak into some other high tier specs, mainly against Rogue and Feral Druid compositions. However, they are still relatively powerful due to how much throughput they can deliver with diseases and raw damage. Additionally, they highly disruptive, making them highly sought after to mitigate some pressure.
Unholy works well with a wide variety of specs, but will likely see the most success with a BM Hunter, Assassination Rogue, or even an Elemental Shaman with how ridiculous their spread pressure currently is.
D Tier – Frost Death Knight
“Frost DK Dev” Frost Death Knight / Devastation Evoker / Preservation Evoker or Holy Paladin
“Frost DK WW” Frost Death Knight / Windwalker Monk / Preservation Evoker or Holy Paladin
“Frost DK Warrior” Frost Death Knight / Fury Warrior / Preservation Evoker or Holy Paladin
Switching over to Frost Death Knight, you’ll be hard-locked into one of three viable compositions. The most promising of which is the infamous “Draco Cleave”, and has seen higher representation out of all potential Frost DK comps. Although this composition is quite gimmicky with a now 45 second burst window with Pillar of Frost, you’ll be more than likely to catch most players off guard with the amount of pressure you can deal.
Best 3v3 Comps for Demon Hunters
A Tier – Havoc Demon Hunter
“DH Boomy” Havoc Demon Hunter / Balance Druid / Preservation Evoker
“DH DK” Havoc Demon Hunter / Unholy Death Knight / Preservation Evoker
“DH SP” Havoc Demon Hunter / Shadow Priest / Holy Paladin
Unfortunately, Demon Hunters lost a bit of passive synergy with casters after the removal of Chaotic Imprint and the nerf to Chaos Brand, resulting in them losing their crown in the melee scene. However, we have seen some buffs to their Aldrachi Reaver tree and their consistent damage, which have slightly increased their representation in competitive play.
Not to mention, Demon Hunters have naturally found success with Balance Druid in 3v3, and with the introduction of double Incarnation we definitely see this composition played more than in previous patches.
Best 3v3 Comps for Druids
S Tier – Feral Druid
“FMP” Feral Druid / Frost Mage or Arcane Mage / Discipline Priest or Holy Paladin
“Jungle Cleave” Feral Druid / Beast Mastery Hunter / Discipline Priest
“FPX” Feral Druid / Shadow Priest / Holy Paladin or Preservation Evoker
“Survival Jungle Cleave” Survival Hunter / Feral Druid / Discipline Priest
“MM Jungle Cleave” Marksmanship Hunter / Feral Druid / Discipline Priest
For our strongest Druid contender, we have Feral Druid, and although has been nerfed in terms of how much Ferocious Bite damage they can produce with Saber Jaws, this specialization really shines mainly from their bleed damage. This incentivizes players to stay in Cat Form, especially with the removal of Wild Attunement. This has resulted in our core damage abilities being stronger than before, revolving around a playstyle that most Feral Druids love.
A Tier – Balance Druid
“DH Boomy” Balance Druid / Havoc Demon Hunter / Preservation Evoker
“Dancing with the Stars” Balance Druid / Subtlety or Assassination Rogue / Preservation Evoker
“Demo Boomy” Balance Druid / Demonology Warlock / Holy Paladin
“Outlaw Dancing with the Stars” Balance Druid / Outlaw Rogue / Holy Paladin or Preservation Evoker
Next up we have Balance Druid, and has more win conditions than it previously had thanks to the addition of Whirling Stars. Since the meta isn’t slow-paced, you’ll need to play with a spec that support you with Crowd Control to avoid getting trained all game. Ideally, we recommend Boomy DH as both specs have been receiving buffs after each hotfix, or you can substitute a DH out for a Rogue.
B Tier – Restoration Druid
“Thug Cleave” Subtlety, Outlaw or Assassination Rogue / Beast Mastery Hunter / Restoration Druid
“RLD” Assassination Rogue / Affliction Warlock / Restoration Druid
“RMD” Assassination Rogue / Frost Mage or Arcane Mage / Restoration Druid
“Shadowplay” Shadow Priest / Affliction Warlock / Restoration Druid
“RPD” Subtlety or Assassination Rogue / Shadow Priest / Restoration Druid
“Thunder Cleave” Arms Warrior / Elemental Shaman / Restoration Druid
“LSD” Elemental Shaman / Affliction Warlock / Restoration Druid
“MLD” Demonology Warlock / Frost Mage / Restoration Druid
Restoration Druid, similar to Balance, isn’t in the best position for the current meta. How much damage high tier classes deliver is really difficult to recover from, and with this spec being reliant on tempo, a fast-paced meta doesn’t always favor Resto Druid on paper unless their HoTs are off the charts.
Best 3v3 Comps for Evokers
A Tier – Preservation Evoker
“Jungle Cleave” Feral Druid / Beast Mastery Hunter / Preservation Evoker
“Thug Cleave” Outlaw or Assassination Rogue / Beast Mastery Hunter / Preservation Evoker
“Feral Priest Evoker” Feral Druid / Shadow Priest / Preservation Evoker
“Feral Dev” Devastation Evoker / Feral Druid / Preservation Evoker
“Rogue DK Evoker” Assassination Rogue / Unholy Death Knight / Preservation Evoker
Preservation Evoker still remains a popular spec in the current meta with how much they can provide to their team with a diversity of cooldowns. Not only does this spec include a ton of mobility, damage, and stuns, but they rely on powerful HoT maintenance and direct healing to keep their teammates offensive.
A Tier – Devastation Evoker
“Feral Dev” Devastation Evoker / Feral Druid / Preservation Evoker or Holy Paladin
“Sub Dev” Devastation Evoker / Subtlety Rogue / Preservation Evoker or Holy Paladin
D Tier – Augmentation Evoker
“Aug Evoker Feral” Augmentation Evoker / Feral Druid / Preservation Evoker
“Aug Evoker BM Hunter” Augmentation Evoker / BM Hunter / Preservation Evoker
For both damage dragon specs and even Preservation, your best bet is Double Dragon. Having both a Preservation Evoker and high tier melee to the mix as either Devastation or Augmentation is a reliable formula that simply works. Evokers have amazing synergy when paired together, as they both can use Rescue, reset Hover with Time Spiral, Oppressing Roar for setups, and double purge.
Best 3v3 Comps for Hunters
B Tier – Marksmanship Hunter
“Jungle Cleave” Marksmanship Hunter / Feral Druid / Discipline Priest or Holy Paladin
“MM Ele” Marksmanship Hunter / Elemental Shaman / Holy Paladin
“Thug Cleave” Subtlety Rogue / Marksmanship Hunter / Discipline Priest or Holy Paladin
“Cupid Cleave” Retribution Paladin / Marksmanship Hunter / Discipline Priest or Preservation Evoker
Entering into the realm of Hunters, we have Marksmanship Hunter. Surprisingly, this spec is now marginally weaker than it was in the previous patch, mainly due to some Dark Ranger nerfs that reduce our spread pressure, as well as our Aimed Shot and Rapid Fire damage. However, this spec is still relatively deadly when paired against casters, making them terrified to poke their head out and try to build momentum for their team. You’ll typically see this spec sticking to their roots, Jungle Cleave, but can be paired with a Subtlety Rogue to burst down enemies without much effort.
S Tier – Beast Mastery Hunter
“BM Ele” BM Hunter / Elemental Shaman / Discipline Priest or Holy Paladin
“BM Jungle Cleave” BM Hunter / Feral Druid / Discipline Priest or Holy Paladin
“BM PHDK” BM Hunter / Unholy Death Knight / Discipline Priest or Preservation Evoker
“BM Cupid” BM Hunter / Retribution Paladin / Discipline Priest or Preservation Evoker
Beast Mastery has resurfaced in the competitive scene, resulting in this spec being the strongest out of the three Hunter specs. They can build quite a lot of pressure just by attacking one target with Stomp and Kill Command, and with the new Dark Ranger changes, they can deliver some heavy cleave damage thanks to Bleak Powder, Shadow Surge, and Withering Fire. They rely heavily on consistent damage, making them more suitable with classes that also do consistent cleave. This mainly favors specs like Feral Druids, Elemental Shamans, and even Unholy Death Knights.
B+ Tier – Survival Hunter
“Survival Jungle Cleave” Survival Hunter / Feral Druid / Discipline Priest or Holy Paladin
“Survival Thug Cleave” Survival Hunter / Subtlety Rogue / Discipline Priest
Survival has a higher performance metric in comparison to 11.0.2, as we receive more spread pressure and consistent throughput out of Butchery. We receive even more buffs to our core damaging spells in our Hero trees, primarily Pack Leader, which makes the risk to reward ratio a bit more reasonable in comparison to Beast Mastery or even Marksmanship.
However, the weakness with Survival is its lack of defensive mitigation, since this spec is constantly forced to play in to create momentum and pressure.
Best 3v3 Comps for Mages
A Tier – Frost Mage
“FMP” Feral Druid / Frost Mage / Discipline Priest or Holy Paladin
“RMP” Frost Mage / Assassination, Outlaw, or Subtlety Rogue / Discipline Priest
“Ele Mage” Elemental Shaman / Frost Mage / Holy Paladin
“MLX” Frost Mage / Affliction Warlock / Discipline Priest, Preservation Evoker, or Holy Paladin
“God Comp” Frost Mage / Shadow Priest / Holy Paladin
Out of all the compositions, RMP and FMP are your two best compositions, as they have a proven track record of being highly competitive on the ladder and in tournaments. Now if you are really itching to play wizard cleave, then an Elemental Shaman is your best bet. You’re going to have lots of control and you’re able to at least provide some stun coverage for your Shaman with Snowdrift. This gives you the ability to microburst as a team.
C Tier – Fire Mage
“Sub Fire RMP” Fire Mage / Subtlety Rogue / Discipline Priest or Holy Paladin
“Fire Assa RMD” Fire Mage / Assassination Rogue / Restoration Druid
“Fire FMP” Fire Mage / Feral Druid / Discipline Priest or Holy Paladin
B Tier – Arcane Mage
“Sub Arcane RMP” Arcane Mage / Subtlety Rogue / Discipline Priest or Holy Paladin
“Arcane Assa RMD” Arcane Mage / Assassination Rogue / Restoration Druid
“Arcane FMP” Arcane Mage / Feral Druid / Discipline Priest or Holy Paladin
Rounding out the low tiers we have our remaining two Mage specs: Arcane and Fire, which are significantly more punishing to play in the meta. Although we’ve seen top players in the AWC that have the capabilities of playing off-meta specs in tournaments, those are more of a testament to their individual and team skill as opposed to how good the spec really is. However, we suggest following the common formula when playing as a Mage: find yourself a good Rogue or Feral Druid and then match up with a Discipline Priest or even a Holy Paladin.
Best 3v3 Comps for Monks
A Tier – Windwalker Monk
“WW Ele” Windwalker Monk / Elemental Shaman / Holy Paladin
“WW Hunter” Windwalker Monk / BM Hunter / Discipline Priest
“WW Sub” Windwalker Monk / Subtlety Rogue / Discipline Priest
“WW Enh” Windwalker Monk / Enhancement Shaman / Holy Paladin
“WW Mage” Windwalker Monk / Frost Mage / Discipline Priest or Holy Paladin
“WW SP” Windwalker Monk / Shadow Priest / Holy Paladin
Coming up into the realm of monks, this spec has risen in popularity quite a bit with their selection of comps being slightly better in the current meta. They are considered more of a micro-bursting brawler during their Leg Sweep setups, and have been even more efficient to land thanks to our Clash talent.
A Tier – Mistweaver Monk
“BM Ele MW” BM Hunter / Elemental Shaman / Mistweaver Monk
“BM SP MW” BM Hunter / Shadow Priest / Mistweaver Monk
“Shadowplay” Affliction Warlock / Shadow Priest / Mistweaver Monk
“MLChi” Affliction Warlock / Frost Mage / Mistweaver Monk
“Ele Boomy” Elemental Shaman / Balance Druid / Mistweaver Monk
“Feral Dev MW” Feral Druid / Devastation Evoker / Mistweaver Monk
“Thundercleave” Elemental Shaman / Fury Warrior / Mistweaver Monk
Mistweaver has surged in popularity with some newly defining changes that help us with our AoE healing. Most notably, we can use Crackling Jade Lightning as a source of healing to all nearby allies reacting similar to an AoE Lay on Hands. Having more ways to deliver throughput without having to worry too much about being stopped, as long as Zen Focus Tea is picked up, helps us keep our team stabilized without being too dependent on casting.
As this specialization, we recommend playing our strongest composition, BM Hunter / Elemental Shaman, or any double caster composition to tank some kicks for you if you do feel the need to channel some heals.
Best 3v3 Comps for Paladins
B+ Tier – Retribution Paladin
“Cupid Cleave” Retribution Paladin / BM Hunter / Discipline Priest
“Ret SP” Retribution Paladin / Shadow Priest / Preservation Evoker or Restoration Shaman
Although Retribution Paladin has been relatively weak in the current meta, this spec has received some solid enhancements to their survivability and utility. They can still crank the damage charts, but that isn’t enough to close out games even when Avenging Wrath is active. Out of any comp, we suggest going with Cupid Cleave, allowing you to win with setups rather than pure damage.
S Tier – Holy Paladin
“BM Ele” BM Hunter / Elemental Shaman / Holy Paladin
“Jungle Cleave” BM Hunter / Feral Druid / Holy Paladin
“BM SP” BM Hunter / Shadow Priest / Holy Paladin
“FPX” Feral Druid / Shadow Priest / Holy Paladin
“FMP” Feral Druid / Frost Mage / Holy Paladin
Holy Paladin continues to be competitive successful in the current meta, and is mainly due to its raw consistent healing and reactive utility. Not only do they have more ways to deliver burst healing with both Divine Toll and Avenging Wrath because of Rising Sunlight, but how have way more Holy Shock healing. With massive healing and a bountiful amount of defensive utility to keep your team aggressive, what could possibly go wrong?
When looking for a comp to play, your best bet is going to be with a BM Hunter and any spec that synergizes with them in the current meta.
Best 3v3 Comps for Priests
S Tier – Discipline Priest
“FMP” Feral Druid / Frost Mage / Discipline Priest
“Jungle Cleave” Feral Druid / BM Hunter / Discipline Priest
Discipline Priest remains relevant in the current meta, since there have been so many buffs that make their tempo-based playstyle a bit easier to manage. With the amount of defensive cooldowns present in their toolkit, they can enable their team to play aggressive, which can help their team create massive momentum as a setup based composition. Your best compositions will be either with a Feral Druid or BM Hunter.
C Tier – Holy Priest
“Holy FMP” Feral Druid / Frost Mage / Holy Priest
“Holy Jungle Cleave” Feral Druid / BM Hunter / Holy Priest
Holy Priest on the other hand has seen better days, as their healing throughput is quite lackluster in a fast paced arena environment. Their only source of healing is more direct with Holy Word: Serenity, and with most specs dealing damage by cleaving multiple targets, it becomes difficult to consistently help your team recover from the pressure.
As for comps to chase, you’ll be looking to play similar Discipline Priest comps, but instead as our Holy Priest counterpart.
A+ Tier – Shadow Priest
“Shadowplay” Shadow Priest / Affliction Warlock / Preservation Evoker or Holy Paladin
“FPPala” Shadow Priest / Feral Druid / Holy Paladin
“RPD” Shadow Priest / Subtlety or Assassination Rogue / Preservation Evoker or Holy Paladin
“MLPala” Shadow Priest / Frost Mage / Holy Paladin
“FPPala” Shadow Priest / BM Hunter / Holy Paladin
“Demonology Shadowplay” Shadow Priest / Demonology Warlock / Preservation Evoker or Holy Paladin
Shadow Priest still remains relevant with the current patch, but has experienced some slight nerfs to their survivability and throughput. Although this spec is not too heavy on rot like Affliction Warlock, their strengths revolve around micro-bursts. This makes them excel in comps that need more burst to finish off games, especially when playing with Feral, Warlock, or Rogue.
Best 3v3 Comps for Rogues
A Tier – Subtlety Rogue
“Sub RMP” Subtlety Rogue / Frost Mage / Discipline Priest
“Sub RLX” Subtlety Rogue / Affliction Warlock / Discipline Priest or Preservation Evoker
“Sub Thug Cleave” Subtlety Rogue / BM Hunter / Discipline Priest
“Sub RPPal” Subtlety Rogue / Shadow Priest / Holy Paladin
Subtlety has retained its classic setup-heavy playstyle and now has a more fluid rotation that helps them deal massive burst. As of now, this spec is super well optimized for playing with any high tier wizard, typically Affliction Warlocks and Frost Mages, enabling them to actually land their casts thanks to the lockdown of Shadow Dance. Thug Cleave is a good option too, once again playing off the strength of setups.
A Tier – Assassination Rogue
“Assa RMP” Assassination Rogue / Frost Mage / Discipline Priest
“Assa RLX” Assassination Rogue / Affliction Warlock / Discipline Priest or Preservation Evoker
“Assa DK” Assassination Rogue / Unholy Death Knight / Preservation Evoker
If there is a meta with lots of pets, then Assassination inherently becomes stronger in the competitive scene. This is because of talents like Indiscriminate Carnage that allow them to easily spread dots, and Scent of Blood for a huge agility buff based on the number of targets dotted. Thanks to these talents, Assa can fit into the same comps as Sub, but can even play a blender style comp, pairing up with an Unholy Death Knight to live fast and die young. You’ll be doing huge AoE damage to execution test even the most experienced healers.
A Tier – Outlaw Rogue
“Outlaw Thug Cleave” Outlaw Rogue / BM Hunter / Holy Paladin, Preservation Evoker, or Discipline Priest
“Outlaw Ele” Outlaw Rogue / Elemental Shaman / Holy Paladin
“Outlaw RMP” Outlaw Rogue / Frost Mage / Discipline Priest
“Outlaw Dancing with the Stars” Outlaw Rogue / Balance Druid / Holy Paladin or Preservation Evoker
Surprisingly enough, Outlaw Rogue has been rising in popularity from a majority of competitive Rogue players. The raw throughput of Outlaw feels relatively strong now due to some buffs that focus on their throughput. With how powerful BM Hunter currently is with their consistent damage, Thug Cleave or Outlaw / Ele looks to be your two best options. Alternatively, you can opt for Rogue Mage with Frost being your most preferred option.
Best 3v3 Comps for Shamans
S Tier – Elemental Shaman
“BM Ele” Elemental Shaman / BM Hunter / Holy Paladin
“Thunder Cleave” Elemental Shaman / Fury Warrior / Holy Paladin
“Ele Rogue” Elemental Shaman / Outlaw Rogue / Holy Paladin
“LSPala” Elemental Shaman / Demonology Warlock / Holy Paladin
“Ele Feral” Elemental Shaman / Feral Druid / Holy Paladin
“Ele Boomy” Elemental Shaman / Balance Druid / Holy Paladin
Elemental Shamans are another highly ranked caster DPS we’ve seen in the meta, and with that gives them a variety of comp options. With their damage mostly comprised of instant cast cleave they can throw out on anyone, this makes them less concerned with playing with another spec that relies on locking down their primary kill target. Nonetheless, you can still play with those specs like Fury Warrior, any Rogue spec, and even BM Hunter with their high consistent burst damage.
B+ Tier – Enhancement Shaman
“Enh Warrior” Enhancement Shaman / Fury Warrior / Preservation Evoker or Holy Paladin
“Enh WW” Enhancement Shaman / Windwalker Monk / Holy Paladin
“Enh Sub” Enhancement Shaman / Subtlety Rogue / Discipline Priest or Holy Paladin
“Enh Hunter” Enhancement Shaman / BM Hunter / Discipline Priest or Holy Paladin
Surprisingly enough, Enhancement has experienced some solid changes located in our Hero trees and our spec tree that allow us to select more talents that grant us more finishing power.
However, this spec continues to struggle against higher ranked specs. Enhancement is more or less focused on supporting their allies, and needs either a Warrior or Windwalker Monk in order to be competitive. Turbo Cleave will be your most favored comp, but if you want to experiment a bit then Subtlety Rogue can potentially be a decent substitute.
B Tier – Restoration Shaman
“Shadowplay” Affliction Warlock / Shadow Priest / Restoration Shaman
“Ret SP” Retribution Paladin / Shadow Priest / Restoration Shaman
“Boomy DH” Balance Druid / Havoc Demon Hunter / Restoration Shaman
Finally we have Restoration Shaman, which is quite low in competitive play due to the lack of healing this spec possesses. This makes it quite difficult to make use of your utility, mainly with Lightning Lasso and Greater Purge. If you do use them you’re susceptible to falling behind even further.
Even though it does sound daunting, you can make use of double caster or hybrid comps to increase your team survivability and give you more opportunities to throw out your utility based spells to push your team further towards a win.
Best 3v3 Comps for Warlocks
A Tier – Affliction Warlock
“RLX” Affliction Warlock / Subtlety or Assassination Rogue / Discipline Priest, Preservation Evoker, or Holy Paladin
“Shadowplay” Affliction Warlock / Shadow Priest / Preservation Evoker or Holy Paladin
“MLX” Affliction Warlock / Frost Mage / Discipline Priest, Preservation Evoker, or Holy Paladin
“FLP” Affliction Warlock / Feral Druid / Discipline Priest or Holy Paladin
Affliction Warlock is a dual threat these days, having a mix of AoE spread pressure and surprisingly good single target burst with Shadow Bolt and Haunt gives them a ton of flexibility in comp selection. However, with how powerful BM Hunters are in the current meta, they’re constantly going to get chewed out. In order to provide some support and actually make use out of their amazing damage kit, Warlocks really need some stuns. This ideally means playing with a Rogue, but Shadow Priests, Frost Mages, and Feral Druids can also fill that void.
A Tier – Demonology Warlock
“Demo Shadowplay” Demonology Warlock / Shadow Priest / Holy Paladin
“MLPala” Demonology Warlock / Frost Mage / Holy Paladin
“Demo Boomy” Demonology Warlock / Balance Druid / Holy Paladin or Preservation Evoker
“Demo Ele” Demonology Warlock / Elemental Shaman / Holy Paladin
“Demo BM Hunter” Demonology Warlock / BM Hunter / Holy Paladin
Demonology has experienced some solid quality of life improvements to their damage, and have experienced some buffs to Call Dreadstalkers for more Demonic Core uptime. This reduces the need to always open their cast bars, which greatly reduce their primary weakness.
We advise pairing yourself with a high tier wizard like a Frost Mage or even a Shadow Priest. This gives you a bit more leeway in being able to do meaningful damage, and by getting kicks out of the way you’re more or less making it easier for your teammate to win the game.
B+ Tier – Destruction Warlock
“FLP” Feral Druid / Destruction Warlock / Holy Paladin or Preservation Evoker
“RLX” Destruction Warlock / Subtlety or Assassination Rogue / Holy Paladin or Preservation Evoker
“Destro Shadowplay” Destruction Warlock / Shadow Priest / Holy Paladin or Preservation Evoker
Although the meta for Destruction Warlock is a bit too fast-paced for this spec to flourish in a competitive environment, we now receive some buffs that make our direct damage massively stronger. This makes it important to play with another DPS that can stun-lock your primary kill target consistently to land Chaos Bolt or Incinerate. Combining this with all of our instant cast spells, we now have enough finishing power to secure wins.
Not to mention, we definitely suggest playing with a spec that has some sort of healing reduction effect so you don’t have to rely too much on Fel Fissure‘s radius.
Best 3v3 Comps for Warriors
A Tier – Fury Warrior
“Thunder Cleave” Fury Warrior / Elemental Shaman / Holy Paladin
“Fury WPPala” Fury Warrior / Shadow Priest / Holy Paladin
“Fury WMPala” Fury Warrior / Frost Mage / Holy Paladin
For our last class, first up is Fury Warrior who at one point was a contender for S tier DPS, but after repeated nerfs has fallen off slightly. Right now, Fury can produce some high damage, but lacks in terms of its survivability. While Feral Druids and Sub Rogues have no problem enabling their meta casters, Fury can feel a bit clunky with an objectively worse lockdown.
A Tier – Arms Warrior
“Thunder Cleave” Arms Warrior / Elemental Shaman / Holy Paladin
“WMPala” Arms Warrior / Frost Mage / Holy Paladin
“TSG” Arms Warrior / Unholy Death Knight / Holy Paladin
“WPPala” Arms Warrior / Shadow Priest / Holy Paladin
“Kitty Cleave” Arms Warrior / Feral Druid / Holy Paladin
Just like some of the other A tiers on this list, Arms typically does best in a slightly slower meta, where games can reliably be won through attrition. Right now, Warriors seem to take way too much damage without much of a chance to fight back. Right now playing with an Elemental Shaman is likely your best bet, but if you want to play something a bit more cleave-based, then Kitty Cleave or TSG are likely your best options.
